Something about me.. Well I believe a picture says more than a thousand words, so this is me... I was born in Denmark in 1977 - and have been a Smokiefan all my life.....

12.08.2004 is the date when I decided to add something more about myself. I find it quite difficult to write about me.. Thoughts like "this is a site about Smokie, not me" or "does other fans really want to read about me?". Well from the mails I get and the positive respond when I meet people at shows, I have come to the conclusion; some people do want to know - believe it or not ;-)

This Sunday I just got home from a 3 days Smokie show tour (Hadsten, Jaegerspris and Hjoerring). And it was GREAT as usually, in a way that not even words can describe.. The long hours of driving and waiting, it has it's charm. Seeing the crew work SO hard to make everything perfect. The "Oh-no-feeling" whenever Vernon shake his head and afterwards the "Yes-feeling" when he begins to look satisfied (this means the time before the shows starts is not so long anymore). The overwhelming thrill, when finally the show starts and the guys get on stage. The feeling of total surrender when hearing Mikes voice live again. The pleasure of seeing the guys enjoying themselves at every show, still after all these years. The smile on Micks face, like he still doesn't understand th round of applause, whenever he appears at the front of the stage.. The passion for music which is shown in Martins eyes. Steve and Terry not to forget :-).. The fellowship among fans. The overpowering exitement and exhilaration due to the music during the entire show... - And the bittersweet rehear of "Living next door to Alice" - always way to early..

I have been asked several times "how big a fan are you?".. I can't answer that question. I guess it's relative.. Some people might say I'm crazy to go to 10 shows in 3 months, I think they are crazy not to ;-)

"What do I do beside being a Smokiefan?". Well not so much actually ;-) I have a job, my home/family and then I have my "Smokie-world", it doesn't leave time for much else, but I like it that way.. Sure this is a pretty rough picture and I do take my time to do other things.

The expression "Smokie-world" is not just listening to the music and going to the shows, it's everything Smokie-related. It's the friends I've met because of Smokie, people from all over Denmark and from other countries. And also taking care of this website, which is something I treasure very much.

The idea for this website came in the late spring this year (when all us Danish Smokiefans were waiting for the summer shows to begin). I wanted to do something nice, something maybe a little more personal, it's like "you have all this exitement but nowhere to let it out". I like all the hours I spend in front of the computer working on this site, it's cosy ;-) Sitting here with a cup of coffee at 03.00 in the morning trying to make the design a little better, or waking up at 05.00 in the morning just bursting to get the newest pictures updated.. It's my opportunity to share a great passion and doing something I like in the meantime.

I'm often asked: "Well don't you listen to other music besides Smokie?".. Surely I listen to other music, but the best way to describe it is "I like this song and that song, I love Smokies music"...
